For generations, the people of Cadaqués have lived from fishing, a tradition that still persists today. The nansas drying in the sun are testimony to this heritage and have served as a source of inspiration for the design of the collection, which seeks to reflect the essence of this ancient fishing net. The nansas allow fish and crustaceans to be caught passively, without harming them.
The specimens that enter them arrive alive, allowing the smaller ones to survive, ensuring the preservation of the species and its reproductive cycle.
Its design evokes its characteristic cylindrical-conical shape, with a narrower top than the bottom. The inner light represents the bait, while the outer braiding, handmade from wicker or rope, is made by master basket-makers in the tradition of craftsmanship.
